Our New Moose Tail FarmHere we are in Easton, New York where we have been since December of 2009. This has been an incredibly wonderful move home for us, and we were blessed with two beautiful fillies for 2010. More of our lovely fillies on our MTF horses page. Now we are waiting for two Svengali foals, due end of May this year. One out of our magnificent foundation mare EM Happy Hour and the second out of our Oldenburg approved Roanoke daughter Just for Terry.
SPA/EM Happy Hour and her beautiful 2010 filly by DeNiroWhat a gift our beautiful and very much loved "Hope" has given us. Her first daughter is by the incomperable 2008 Hanoverian stallion of the year Elite Stallion DeNiro. DeCastiglione MTF is a beautiful black combination of her sire and dam. The picture of elegance, she has three big, beautiful and dynamic gaits. We are excited for our future with our "Little Queenie."
And a beautiful fall day in upstate New York saw the two lovely mares and their beautiful fillies enjoying the sun and grass. A lovelier picture we could not imagine.
Spring at Moosetail Farm
As 2011 goes forward, here at Moose Tail Farm we are watching two of the most gorgeous and wonderful fillies -- DeCastiglione MTF and DeSonga MTF -- grow, and we are preparing for this year's foals. Both SPA/EM Happy Hour and our Roanoke daughter Just for Terry are in foal to our wonderful and beautiful Svengali. Due at the end of May, we are anxiously awaiting our new ones. With the passing of our great Maestro, David Lackey, in June of 2010, these Svengali foals are in his memory and honor. Blessed be, Dave -- and look down upon us and smile when you see the new ones. Godspeed, our Maestro.

The long, cold and snowy winter at Moose Tail Farm led to a very warm and verdant spring. Now gracing us here are two of the most beautiful, charming and amazing fillies -- thank you Svengali, Hope and Terry for the beautiful gifts of Svengali's Szarina and Svengali's Svetlana. Arriving at the very civilized hour of 7:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 28th, our lovely little Svengli's Szarina embodies the perfection, grace, charm and glory of her spectacular sire and dam. Pictured here at 12 days old with her beautiful dam Hope, she is bright with promise. Refined, elegant, athletic, joyous, charming -- well, we could go on with adjectives describing this new one, but will let these few suffice for now.

Svengali's Svetlana
Here was our surprise for this foaling season; as the spring had burdgeoned with promise, so had Terry in her last month of carrying her foal. Gauging her size as an indicator, we believed she would present us with a colt. Well, never prejudge is our lesson here. On Sunday May 15 at 11:30 p.m. Svengali's Svetlana was born, and this beautiful filly was a delight from the beginning. Not even yet on her feet and she was talking to the world, telling the beginnings of her story. "Little Lana" is pictured here at 12 days old. She is the feminine replication of her beloved sire.

As always, we will tend ‘Desi’ with great care, love and dedication all while looking forward to the birth of a healthy foal in 2012. May the peace of the universe hold Desi and her growing ‘miracle’ close and protect them kindly.
